Voice on tape: Podcast 'Middeleeuwen' (Dutch)

In addition to publishing articles and books and what not, there are also rare opportunities to present some of our research on other media. I was honoured to appear on the season finale of the Dutch podcast 'Middeleeuwen', expertly presented and produced by Timo Epping. In this episode we enter the world of the late seventh and early eighth centuries: the world of Utrecht, Dorestad, and the coastal region... the world of Redbad and a group of Frisians he led! But who was Radbod/Redbad? What sources tell us anything about his life? And within which larger world — the world of, for example, Merovingian kings, Pippinid mayors of the palace, and Charles Martel — was he a player? This and much more we explore in this episode!
